3 Average Season Prediction
An average hurricane season produces 12 storms Six of those become hurricanes 3 will intensify into major (CAT-3) or higher.

4 NOAA is forecasting a 75% chance that the 2018 Atlantic Hurricane season will be near or above normal.

5 2018 NOAA Prediction 10 – 16 Named Storms (winds 39mph or higher)
5 – 9 Hurricanes (winds 74 mph or higher) 1 – 4 Expected to be “major” (Cat-3, 4 or 5) with sustained winds of at least 111mph.
