2 DNA DNA is a double helix
Has two outer backbones made of sugar and phosphate and four repeating base pairs The base pairs are: Adenine Cytosine Guanine Thymine

3 DNA The base pairs only every bind with one other specific base pair.
Adenine always pairs with thymine (A with T) Cytosine always pairs with guanine (C with G).

4 DNA Replication The sugar phosphate backbones come apart
The base pairs split from their partner Each sugar phosphate backbone generates new matching base pairs Two identical DNA molecules result.
