Scout, as the narrator, serves as our eyes and ears in this chapter – she reports the reactions of others to us. She does not seem to have a strong reaction to the outcome of the trial.

4. Dill’s Reaction
Dill did all his crying the previous day. Now he is angry, especially at his Aunt Rachel, who said “if a man like Atticus Finch wants to butt his head against a stone wall, it’s his head.” (286)
