The Grand Central Depot/Railroad was formed to bring trains from the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad.
The New York and Harlem Railroads, combined with the New York and New Haven Railroads make Grand Central a large station.
The Grand Central Depot/Railroad was opened in October 1871 but the date is not yet clear.

4. How did opening Grand Central Station impact life in New York?
Grand Central Station has an impact on N.Y by making travel for New Yorkers easier and faster. It also impacts people who travel a lot. People do not need to take a car that might cost them at least $10.00 to park, when they can take a $2.00 ride. This station is also a New York land mark. The best thing is that everybody can take a ride!
