Identifying events from the viewpoint of people who lived through the times Can we “walk in the shoes” of someone from the past?

We must understand that certain events change over time while others stay the same (attitudes, processes, actions) *let’s focus on this

10 Change and Continuity - Continuity and Change are interwoven: both can exist together- timeline of events- can be a good starting point - Change is a process, with varying pace and patterns. Turning points are moments when the process of change shifts in direction or pace (game changers) - Progress and decline are broad evaluation of change over time. Depending on the impacts of change, progress for one people may be declined for another - History is a process of interpretation, by which we decide which events or developments constitute a period of history
