2 Training Group Funding New Grant Scheme Flexible & Structured Funds
We now have three defined funding/grant streams: Training Group New Grant Scheme Flexible & Structure Funding

3 Introduction to the Training Model
Your claim will be made through your CITB Approved Training Organisation (ATO), when the person has completed the course, the provider will update the Construction Training Register and you should automatically receive the grant payment. If your training provider has not yet completed the CITB ATO approval process, you will need to claim through CITB Online within 20 weeks of completing the course.  Exceptions: If your learner has achieved a CPCS test or a Site Safety Plus course, or you are using an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) within the new Grant Scheme from 1 April 2018, you do not need to make a claim for a short duration course achievement grant. We will make automatic payment, if eligible, via Bacs using the data provided when the course was booked. Short duration courses may be searched for via the Construction Training Directory, if it’s not on the Directory, you can make your claim through our online form. Note at bottom of slide; CITB approved training organisations need to add learner’s achievements to their training record on the Construction Training Register when they complete the course.

4 Authorise Automated Claim – old yellow GC1’s
Short Duration Grant Claims – paid automatically or if ATO not yet on the system you claim

5 Introduction to the Training Model

6 Approved Training Organisations
Assured: Individual Approved Training Organisations (ATOs) can apply to deliver against any of these standards. You will need to complete a self-assessment form showing how your course meets the standard.  Once approved, you can advertise your courses on the Construction Training Directory and enter learners’ achievements on the Construction Training Register.  Our Quality Assurance team will work with providers of Assured courses to ensure the quality of delivery. Recognised: We recognise that there is an existing product (or products) that meet the standard and is widely accepted by industry.  A good example of  ‘Recognised’ standards are the various CISRS scaffolding courses that are industry accepts as the standard which courses must reach.  For Recognised standards, ATOs will need to be an approved centre for the relevant body (in this example, an approved CISRS training provider), and we would not require the ATO to go through the self-assessment process.  CITB Products: This category relates to Site Safety Plus and CPCS courses. ATOs can apply to be an approved centre to deliver those products.
