Editorial convention
The Frame Formats clause uses as a convention to list the size of a field in the figure and in the text.
This repeats normative information in two locations.
Example:
“The Nominal MSDU Size field is 2 octets long and contains an unsigned integer ...”

It is the opinion of this contributor that the text description of the field length should be deleted uniformly from Clause 8.
This removes the chance of errors when the text disagrees with the figure
Less is more in a standards.
