2 Parkside School provides a nationally acclaimed ASPIRE2b programme to prepare its students for the world of work. The school is recognised as the Outstanding School in the North and was one of 3 National finalists, coming runners up for the impact the programmes has. At its heart, the programme entails 3 core strands; 1. Curriculum excellence Focussed delivery within curriculum subjects to ensure students are aware of the subject related opportunities available to them along with the completion of a personal development record (PDR) to enable students the opportunity to identify how they have and are developing their employability skills. 2. Higher Education Partnership Key partnership with Higher Education institutions such as Leeds Beckett University, to ensure all of our students have a clear understanding and experiences of University and what it can offer. 3. Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance programme All students receive a progressive, structured programme through their PSHCE programme and special events including careers guidance interviews and Career enhancement weeks which include visits to the workplace, CV writing sessions and interviews with local employers.
