Russia withdrew from the war after the Russian Revolution. (1917)
The Allies (France, United Kingdom, and U.S.) were victorious.
The Treaty of Versailles was written at the end of the war.
Germany was blamed for causing the war.

They could only have a very small army.
They could not have an air force.
No tanks or artillery
Navy could only have 6 small warships
Germany had to pay large war reparations (pay for war damages).
