Things that happen to the Earth that build it up or make positive changes.

Things that happen to the Earth that destroy or break down part of it.

4. Erosion
A destructive process where materials are removed from the surface of the Earth and then deposited elsewhere.

5. Weathering
A destructive process where rocks, soil, and minerals are broken down through contact with atmospheric conditions. (physical and chemical weathering)

A constructive process where sediments are added to land and build it up from previously eroded sediments

7. Floodplains
Flat land beside a river or stream that stretches to a valley or mountain wall causing flooding during high periods of rain.

An accumulation of soil and rock that is formed by moving glaciers

10. Earthquakes
A constructive process that results in a sudden release of energy in the Earth’s crust where plates slip and move and displacement of land occurs.
