Meant for HABITAT partners from all over the world and at all levels of development Outcomes meant to generate feedback to HABITAT goals and work Outcome meant to strengthen HABITAT normative agenda

3 Concept/OBJECTIVES Feedback recommendations for the UN-HABITAT Governing Council; Guide practical and follow- up actions for all partners ; Specific recommendations to UN-HABITAT for research to strengthen policy goals; Point to and give specific recommendations to bilateral donors and partners for technical cooperation at the country level; Regional groups like Regional Meeting of Ministers and High Authorities of Housing and Urban Development in Latin America and the Caribbean( MINURVI) African Ministerial Conference on Housing and Urban Development (AMCHUD) Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Housing and Urban Development. (APAMCHUD) Western Europe Other Groups (WEOG)

6 GUILDING PRINCIPLES OF THE ROUNDTABLES
RTs are action- oriented events designed for partners to exchange views on key urban issues Less formal and more interactive Some roundtables are closed door events. Theme of the roundtables revolves around the main theme of the world urban forum (WUF) each other year. The theme for WUF IV is “Harmonious Urbanization”

7 FORMAT Participants size vary
Most sessions last between three(3) to four(4) hours Each member of the panel is given a maximum of 20minutes Question and answer session at the end.

8 BUDGET The host country provides almost 95% of the resources required.
Normally provide the resources to facilitate the participation of UN-HABITAT and its Agenda Partners, and that of participants from Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
