Figure 1 Distributions of BNs (circles), HNs (stars), non-SNs (triangles), and metastatic lymph nodes (shaded). SNs that were both stained blue and radioactive were indicated as stars in a circle. (A) Patient 1: SNs detected by blue dye alone were metastasis negative (circle). The one HN that was not stained blue was metastasis positive (closed star). (B, C) Patients 2 and 3: The only HN identified was among BNs, and it was metastasis negative (star in circle) in each patient.
