2 2010 bill eyed to give foreigners local-level vote
Permanent foreign resident in Japan will be granted the voting right in local-level The discussion is still in a early stage - Hatoyama says that the issue still need to be discussed thoroughly within DPJ an d its partners DPJ delayed its legislation and be careful to begin nationwide discussion Korean Politicians having diplomatic expectation toward DPJ "We are not yet in a situation where a bill has been prepared, and therefore it would be fairly difficult in the next Diet session," Hatoyama told reporters Thursday, referring to the extraordinary session slated to open Monday. Zainichi, whch literally means the korean residents in Japan, are the leading foreigners group, that have been struggled to get local suffrage. As we heard from the Arudou Debito san last week, we have two kinds of permanent residence ship. One is There are General Permanent Residence and Special Permanent Residence..
