3. What is a Title I School?
Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C et seq.) is amended to read as follows:
TITLE I — IMPROVING THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF THE DISADVANTAGED
The purpose of Title I under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.
A Title I school has qualified to receive federal funding under this act.

•Parental Notification Requirements

8. Riverside Intermediate’s School-wide Program and Goals
•Increase student writing proficiency by 8% as measured by Milestones scores and local school assessments during the school year.  
•Increase student math proficiency by 8% as measured by Milestones scores and local school assessments during the school year.

•Parent involvement will increase by the number of opportunities available to parents and the number of parents attending the events.
