UNDP developed these as a universal call to action In September 2015, 193 world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. If these Goals are completed, it would mean an end to extreme poverty, inequality and climate change by 2030. The Global Goals “Agenda 2030” is hugely ambitious; there are 17 goals underpinned by 169 targets agreed at the political level. Sustainable Development Goals – The United Nation Development Programme developed these 17 goals after the success from the 8 MDGs from UN – Global intergovernmental organisation – 193 states. Founded after World War 2 to avoid something like that in the future. The UNDP is the UNs Global Development Network. Sustainable – what does sustainable mean?
