2 The Last Thing We Want To Hear
When you think of “Good News” the last thing on your mind is the “wrath of God”. Yet the wrath of God is eternally tied to the gospel. Jn. 3:16-18, 45; Rom. 1:16-18

3 Gospel/Wrath – Closely Tied
There is no “salvation” without wrath. Rom. 5:9 NOTE: We cannot fully understand love, mercy, etc. without its antithesis: hatred; un-forgiveness, etc. God’s nature bears this out. Heb. 1:9

4 The beginning of the gospel
Romans 1:18 – For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness

5 God HATES Lawlessness Unrighteousness of man:
Gentiles: Romans 1:18-32 Jews: Romans 2:1-2, 5-8, 17-24 None righteous: Romans 3:5-6, 9-12, 18-20 Judgment against the sons of disobedience. Col. 3:5-6, Eph. 5:1,3-6

6 God’s Wrath Poured Out From the days of Noah… Gen. 6:6-8
…Till the Lord returns. 1 Pet. 3:15-21 All the saints who died for the cause of Christ cry out to God. Cp. Rev. 5:9-11; 19:1-2 (chs )

7 Where’s the Good News? Fear God and you will seek His salvation.
Love God and you will seek His character. Hate sin and you will seek the lost. Love the lost and you will seek their salvation. 2 Peter 3:9-18; Romans 10:1-17
