11 Lessons for Us Today

12 Being blessed by God does not mean sins are overlooked.
7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more! 2 Samuel 12:7-8

13 Being blessed by God does not mean sins are overlooked.
But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.” 1 Samuel 13:14

14 Being blessed by God does not mean sins are overlooked.
15 Then Nathan departed to his house. And the Lord struck the child that Uriah's wife bore to David, and it became ill. 16 David therefore pleaded with God for the child, and David fasted and went in and lay all night on the ground. 17 So the elders of his house arose and went to him, to raise him up from the ground. But he would not, nor did he eat food with them. 18 Then on the seventh day it came to pass that the child died. 2 Samuel 12:15-18a

15 David repented and was forgiven
1. Despite David’s sins, he was forgiven because he repented. 2. No sin is so great that it cannot be forgiven when we repent. Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. Isaiah 59:1

16 Conclusion God blesses the faithful and is willing to continually bless us. …And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more! 2 Samuel 12:8b

17 Conclusion God blesses the faithful and is willing to continually bless us. Let us do what is right by not only enjoying God’s blesses and acknowledging them but by striving to faithful follow Him always.
