3. Motherboard The motherboard connects all of the computers components.
Think of it as the bones and muscles of a computer.

4. Central Processing Unit (CPU)
The CPU is the brain of the computer. When we tell the computer to do something it goes to the CPU to be interpreted and performed.
It can only do one thing at a time, but does millions – billions of things every minute!

5. Hard Drive This is where files go when you save them on your computer.
If the power goes out they will still be there when the power comes back.

6. R.A.M. Random Access Memory
RAM is where documents are temporarily saved while you are working on them.
If the power goes out, any changes on RAM are lost.

7. Mouse / Trackpad Used to move your courser on the screen.
Mouse we physically move around where a trackpad we use our finger to move the courser.

8. Optical Drive (CD Drive)
The optical drive is what we use to play and ”burn” CDs and DVDs.
