SENIORITIS (n.) A crippling disease that strikes high school seniors Symptoms: laziness, an over excessive wearing of sweats. Lack of studying, motivation, repeated absences and a dismissive attitude. The only known cure is a phenomenon known as Graduation!!

3 9/7 Back to School Night 9/20 Rowland Unified School District College Fair 9/22 End of 1st grading period 10/1 Cal State Application filing period opens 10/1 FAFSA filing period opens 10/12 Report Card Night 10/24 FAFSA/Dream Act information night 11/1 Univ. of California Application filing period opens 11/3 End of 2nd grading period 11/30 DEADLINE for Cal State and UC applications 12/15 End of first semester 3/2 DEADLINE for FAFSA/Dream Act applications March, April Community college applications and placement testing 4/1 4-Year college acceptance notifications 5/1 DEADLINE to accept 4-year college admission 6/7 GRADUATION!!

College Apps $55 - $70 each (4- year, fee waived if qualified) ASB card Senior gear Athletic bus fees - $50 Yearbook 4 Year college acceptance fees $100+ (may be waived) Cap and Gown – usually $45 – includes tassel and medallion Grad night – about $100 Announcements $1.25 each Senior bills – please pay now!! Grad tickets (up to 4) $5 each Graduation gift!

8 SURVIVAL TIPS FOR PARENTS:
Make sure your child eats and sleeps enough Listen more than you lecture Don’t sweat ALL the small stuff Be their parent, not their friend Offer your advice and help but don’t do your child’s work PAY ATTENTION TO DEADLINES! Trust but verify Provide a quiet place to study and get work done Spend as much time as you can with your child; this year will fly by! TELL THEM YOU LOVE THEM!
