4 Fig 3 Above, Intraoperative photograph demonstrates the aberrant anatomy of the persistent sciatic artery (PSA) that continues as the popliteal artery. The PSA-popliteal artery is deep to the subsartorial space and deep to the adductor longus and magnus muscles coursing along with the sciatic nerve. The atretic superficial femoral artery is shown in comparison. Below, Once the bypass was completed, the hood of the graft at the distal anastomosis was accessed retrograde for endovascular exclusion of the PSA aneurysm.
