6 IP Telephony Phase II During FY 07/08 & 08/09 more than 5,000 analog telephone lines were converted from AT&T Centrex service to the ComTech supported Cisco Call Manager (IP Telephony rollout) Phase I. This has resulted in an annual savings of over $300,000. Approximately 5,000 digital Centrex and analog lines remain on the AT&T network. A cost model has been developed that reveals that we could convert them from AT&T Centrex, replace these 5,000 telephone sets with Cisco IP sets, deploy Ciscos Unified Communications suite, and expect a ROI of less than five years which would then result in a cost savings to the university.
