2 PRESUPUESTO ABIERTO WEBSITE The Open Budget website has facilitated ACIJ actions on fiscal transparency and citizen engagement in the budget cycle SUPREME AUDIT INSTITUTIONS use technology to engage citizens in the audit cycle (E.g. Chile’s participatory planning, Peru’s Infobras, Costa Rica’s budget monitor) OUR OWN IT TOOLS The availability of budget info in open data format allowed ACIJ to develop its own tool for budget monitoring (real time alerts of reallocation and level of execution) PUBLIC CONTRACTING: ¿A QUÉ PRECIO? ACIJ, La Nación Data and Chequeado have developed a tool to analyze public contracts on the health sector and compare the price of certain drugs procured by the National Ministry of Health, the city of Buenos Aires and the Integral Health Care Program for retirees

4 Motivating citizens on budgets
3 BUDGET ANALYSIS ACIJ regularly produces budget analysis reports by sector (gender, education, health, housing, disabilities) that are used to advocate for better policies BUDGET WEEK Since 2015 ACIJ organizes the Budget Week, in which we discuss the national budget project with sector CSOs, grassroot organizations, journalists experts and policy makers CAPACITY BUILDING ACIJ develops resources for budget analysis and conducts trainings for CSOs. We’ve also delivered two editions of the training “Budget Analysis in ESCR Litigation” for lawyers. CITIZEN ENGAGEMENT IN THE AUDIT PROCESS ACIJ has supported Supreme Audit Institutions in Latin America for the adoption of participatory practices in the audit cycle.

OPEN BUDGET SURVEY Improving Argentina’s performance in the OBS CAPACITY BUILDING ACIJ will provide training in budget analysis to CSOs and activist 4TH OGP ACTION PLAN ACIJ will promote the adoption of new commitments TAX BENEFITS ACIJ will advocate for the opening and publication of tax benefits information OPEN CONTRACTING ACIJ will advocate for the publication of public procurement information in open data formats (including public works) OUR CONTRIBUTION TO THE NETWORK Share experience, provide training, host meetings, lead working groups, connect with other communities on the following TOPICS: BUDGET AND HUMAN RIGHTS CITIZEN PARTICIPATION AUDIT
