Octavius, the new ruler, speaks the last lines. His final two words are “happy day,” yet the death of noble Brutus is the saddest day for Rome.
The significant message here is that you can’t fight destiny. Octavius would’ve inherited the crown from Caesar eventually. All of these deaths didn’t change anything, really. What a tragedy!
