2 Mission: Learn life long healthy habits Have fun while staying active
Have the understanding that you don’t have to be good at a certain physical activity to still enjoy it Learn how to use good sportsmanship win or lose Work together as a team to accomplish common goals

3 A few of our activities in P.E. include:

4 The First Tee Golf Program

5 In the First Tee Program students learn to:
Putt Chip Pitch Drive And learn the 9 core values of the program: Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Judgment

6 Volleyball

7 Learning correct techniques

8 Parachute Fun

9 Basketball Skills

10 Bowling

11 Track and Field Team

12 Track and Field Team Every student in 3rd – 5th grade will try out for the track and field team. Those students that score the highest in the events for the grade level will be asked to join the team. The track and field events are as follows: Softball throw Running long jump Mile relay (only 4th and 5th ) 50 yard dash 220 yard dash 440 relay

13   Saturday, January 31, 2015 South Fork High School    EVENTS AND NUMBER OF STUDENTS PER EVENT EVENT GRADE NUMBER OF ENTRIES PER SCHOOL Mile Relay 4,5 1 boys team of 4 and 1 girls team of 4 from each grade (4 & 5) Softball Throw 3, 4, 5 2 boys & 2 girls from each grade Running Long Jump 3, 4, 5 2 boys & 2 girls from each grade 50 Yard Dash 3, 4, 5 2 boys & 2 girls from each grade 220 Yard Dash 3, 4, 5 2 boys & 2 girls from each grade Yard Relay 3, 4, 5 1 boys team of 4 and 1 girls team of 4 from each grade STUDENTS MAY PARTICIPATE IN THREE (3) EVENTS         ALL RACES WILL BE RUN IN LANES. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR ATHLETIC SHOES!!!! NO FOOTBALL, SOCCER, OR BASEBALL CLEATS. TRACK SHOES ARE PERMITTED.

Demonstrates sportsmanship and participates fully and cooperatively Demonstrates age-appropriate movement/motor concepts and manipulative skills Demonstrates age-appropriate understanding of physical fitness and health concepts
