Again, what was the response of Jesus to having the whole city of Capernaum at the front door of Peter and Andrews’ house to miraculously heal and cast out? (verse 35) Jesus got up the next morning (while it was still dark) and went to a secluded place to pray. (verse 35; Mark 6:46; Luke 5:16; 6:12; 9:18, 28, 29; 11:1; 22:41; cf., Luke 19:46). What are we to learn from this? “Take Time To Be Holy”

The response of Simon Peter and his companions? “Everyone is looking for you!” (verse 37; Luke 4:42) Why? (John 6:26) How much preaching and teaching was He going to accomplish staying in Capernaum? Jesus: “Let us go somewhere else to the towns nearby, so that I may preach (the kingdom, Luke 4:43) there also, for that is what I came for” (verse 38). The crowds tried to keep Jesus from leaving (Luke 4:42).
