6 Keeping track of your time
Noyce/UFTeach reporting Your timesheet- Excel spreadsheet T:\Center for Science Learning\Public Programs\Interns Computer login in the Volunteer Lounge (sign in and out) PS- I will AMANDASMASH you if you don’t keep track.

7 Transportation Parking Bus Bikes
Decal- Park and Ride or Commuter (Green, All Decal) Paid lot Bus 20, 21, 34, 117, 118, 125 (double check these) Bikes

8 Building Entry Wear your nametag at all times.
Before or after hours, use the side door next to the black picnic tables Keys Who gets them- all NOYCE/UFTeach interns Where you can use them Must be turned in at the end of your internship

9 Dress code Professional but comfortable Neat and clean, etc.
Jeans with no holes, tears or frays Shorts of an appropriate length Shirts of an appropriate length/coverage (no mid-drifts or low cut shirts); Polo or other casual dress shirts Clean, logo-free T-shirts (FLMNH, UF/Team shirts are acceptable) Closed-toed shoes appropriate for outdoor use

11 Expectations For interns Treat this as a professional position
Follow museum policies and procedures at all times Be courteous and respectful to museum staff and guests Be flexible; help is always needed at various events Notify staff if you are not able to come in to work Keep in touch with your supervisor; ask questions if you need further clarification, report your progress, etc. Treat this as a professional position For you to have of staff Open for communication and responsive Available when you need help or guidance Will provide information and directions that you need (we don’t know if you don’t ask)

13 Projects Assigned by supervisor (Amanda)
General projects may include events, programming, outreach, Curriculum Guides, assisting with the Discovery Room, etc. Summer Camp- Administrative side, supplies, assisting in camp, etc. Camp reflections Prepping for other seasons

14 Computers and Internet Access
There are 3 main intern computer stations Laptops are available Appropriate internet usage and usage policies: UF Acceptable use Policy UF Policy on as Public Records FLMNH computing policies

15 The Intranet and Shared Drive
What is the Intranet? What is the Shared Drive? How is it organized? Where is Education material? Where should you save what you are working on? **Do not save projects you are working on to your desktop or personal files**
