We are also beginning our first project with Social Studies. This culminating activity reviews the three regions of North Carolina and what they were like for the early settlers. In Science, we are starting our Animal Habitats unit. Students are really excited about dissecting frogs and seeing how this animal's features are significant for survival in their habitat. Parents, please continue to review the basic multiplication facts with your students. We will be starting long division soon and knowing these facts is important for success! Again, thanks for your support! Operation Christmas Child Thanks everyone who participated in helping second grade raise money for Operation Christmas Child. We have raised $770.05. Thanks especially to all the parents who took time out of their day to come and help sell candy daily and for the parents who donated all the candy supplies. The fund raiser wouldn't have been a success without your help. Don't forget Nov. 10th we are having a shoebox packing party in each classroom to finish up the Social Studies project.
