Animals breathe in Oxygen and Eat Sugar produced by the plants and Plants “breathe” in Carbon dioxide produced by the Animals.
Knowing this, could animals survive with out plants and could plants live without animals?

5. Leaves and Photosynthesis Photosynthesis occurs in the leaf structure of green plants
Water comes in from the roots of the plant and travels up a tube called xylem
Carbon Dioxide enters the plant through holes in the leaves called stoma
The sunlight activates special sugar producing cells called chloroplasts
The sugar enters tubes called phloem to travel to other parts of the plant
The oxygen exits out of the stoma

Stomata – opening that allows CO2 in and O2 out
Guard Cells – surround stoma and control the opening and closing of the stoma (plural of “Stomata”)
Phloem – tube that transports nutrients throughout plant (glucose)
Xylem – tube that transports water throughout plant
Cuticle – waxy layer that coats the surface of plants; keeps in moisture
Chloroplasts – structure that contains chlorophyll – this is where the glucose is made & where photosynthesis takes place
