1 Understanding the Bible Alike

2 Understanding the Bible Alike
Could God express Himself in such a way? Men make ourselves understood alike: Building contractors – blueprints. Physicians/Pharmacists – medications. Recipes – delicious foods.

3 Understanding the Bible Alike
Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Matt 7:21 (NKJV) Jesus answered and said to them, "You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. Matt 22:29 (NKJV) But Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.' " Luke 4:4 (NKJV)

He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him--the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. John 12:48 (NKJV) Cf. Acts 10:34; Rom. 2:11 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. John 20:30-31 (NKJV)

Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. Acts 4:32 (NKJV) Cf. Acts 2:42 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. Acts 17:11 (NKJV)

Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. Romans 16:17 (NKJV) Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 1 Cor 1:10 (NKJV) Cf. Phil. 2:2

Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other. 1 Cor 4:6 (NKJV) Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Eph 5:17 (NKJV) Cf. Eph. 3:1-7 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim 3:16-17 (NKJV)

Those who contend that men cannot agree upon the Scriptures’ teaching: Love the praise of men more than the praise of God (Jn. 12:42-43). Do not love the truth (2 Thess. 2:10). Follow men instead of what is written (Cf. Matt. 15:14; 1 Cor. 4:6). Have allowed Satan to corrupt their thinking (2 Cor. 4:1-4). Understanding the Bible Alike

9 Understanding the Bible Alike
Surely, we can understand, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mk. 16:16). We can understand that there is “one body” (Eph. 4:4), and that that body is the church (Col. 1:18). We can know that salvation is in that body (Eph. 5:23), and outside of that body no redemption is to be found (2 Tim. 2:10).
