Step one:
Look at the words given to you, or brainstorm words about a topic and write them down.
Write the MAIN CONCEPT in bold or uppercase letters

Cut out the words so you can move them around

Step Three
Start with the main concept in the center of your map.
Arrange words related to this main concept around the center concept.

Add lines from the center concept to the sub-ideas
Write a linking verb on the line to show how the concepts are related (such as “can happen by”)

Continue adding words and links with verbs written on the lines.
Add more words if you can think of them.
