Appointment required: eye exams, refractive surgery referrals, repeat contact lens prescription (no new contact fitting).
No appointment required: Physicals; ordering, repair, dispensing eye glasses; drivers license renewal exams.
Acute eye complaints over PCM’s scope can walk-in, please call ahead.

15. Laboratory Hours: Mon-Thurs 0700-1530; Friday 0700-1430
Phlebotomy and urine collection (only)
Does not collect other samples (i.e. throat cultures/skin scraping/KOH..)
On site: Flu/Strep/UA/UA Micro/KOH/Wet prep/Urine HCG
All other labs sent to NMCSD via a runner BID (1030 and 1430).

16. Lab Some labs should be drawn at NMCSD:
Fibrinogen, PT/PTT/INR/D-Dimer/Testosterone, CF Prenatal, Chromosome analysis, ESR, any STAT or ASAP tests, any accession after 1400 that will sit overnight, especially over the weekend.
There is an excessive amount of patients showing up to the lab without having their test ordered.

Only schedule females that require a pap. There is no requirement for an annual WWE by a credentialed provider.

22. ASCCP Guidelines for paps
Under 21: no screening
21-29 yo: pap every 3 years
30-65: pap AND HPV cotesting every 5 years
Additional: GC/Chlamydia annual screening up to 25 yo, birth control…

Preliminaries: Conducted onboard with clinic ancillary support

24. FF/DC Screening Primary: Onboard
Secondary: as a walk-in at the Medical Home Port
Sailors that answer all 28 questions as “no” will be signed off by a HM
Any yes questions will be referred to PCM

We own your Sailors: TAD, ship is underway, have no organic medical onboard.
We have a backlog; it will not get better in the near future
Routine care conducted between you/MRD physicians is appreciated
