3. SAMPLE
Read directions aloud to students and remind them of the 4 components of divergent thinking. Tell them they will use their observation skills and carefully analyze each student work sample to decide which one of the components is most evident in each picture.

4. FLUENCY
Fluency – discuss many ideas are present and have been created by the incomplete figures.

5. FLEXIBILITY
Flexibility - since the “way to talk” has been demonstrated in many different ways and from many unusual perspectives.
