DATA COLLECTION There must always be data that should be collected, organized, analyzed, and interpreted in any research undertaking. No research activity can be succeeded without necessary data so the data collection is important phase of the research process

DATA COLLECTION Data are the things we think with.   They are the raw materials of reflection, until by comparison, combination, and evaluation they are stepped up to higher levels of generalization, where again they serve as basic materials for higher and higher thinking.

DATA COLLECTION Data may also be classified according to the methods or types of research that the researcher may use.  It can also classify as: PRIMARY SOURCES (raw) SECONDARY SOURCES (DERIVED)

DATA COLLECTION PRIMARY SOURCES (raw) Primary data is information collected by the researcher directly through instruments such as surveys, interviews, focus groups or observation. It is tailored to his specific needs. Primary research provides the researcher with the most accurate and up-to-date data.

DATA COLLECTION SECONDARY SOURCES (DERIVED) Secondary data, on the other hand, is basically primary data collected by someone else. Researchers reuse and repurpose information as secondary data because it is easier and less expensive to collect. However, it is seldom as useful and accurate as primary data.

DATA COLLECTION There are methods or techniques used to data collection namely: the questionnaire, observation, the interview, psychological tests and library technique. The researcher must choose the most appropriate method or technique that is suitable and most useful to his/her research projects REFERENCING
