Students copy and label all 20 sentences as either simile or metaphor-turn in when done into colored baskets per class

Students copy and answer all 10 metaphor sentences in reader’s notebook
Students read and complete “Abueltio Who” poetry assignment with similes and metaphors on own in reader’s notebook
4. Writing Notebook prompt-What are you thankful for?
Students write ½-1 page response in writing notebook
