2. Asterisk Announcing System
Have an announcing system in the computer Science honours lab. The phone can use a speaker phone to do this.
Due to the fact that the phone rings in the labs and at times no one answers then this system will ensure that the person calling can actually request the person they want to talk to come to the phone.
For those with ip phones then let the call be taken through to them.
This can use a storing facility that recognises certain names such that when one says a name they can be taken directly to the phone of that person.
