1 Corinthians 6:7 Context (6:1-7) We are to live to magnify God We will judge saints & angels – probably by our example Do we put our fate in the hands of the ungodly? Such can be dangerous to the cause of Christ

1 Corinthians 6:7 As brethren, we should resolve such issues internally! Find someone godly and neutral. This will only work IF we treat each other as brethren How we behave has a bearing the world – Phil. 2:14-15, Peter 3:16

1 Corinthians 6:7 What are our priorities? How much do we cherish stuff over God! James 4:4 Romans 12:18-21 – let God handle it

Galatians 5:15 Biting – to cause harm or discomfort – as in a sting Devouring – to consume, to eat up ravenously Descriptive of attitudes designed to attack and destroy one that you are opposed to Unacceptable in the Lord’s body!

James 4:11 One way we bite and devour To speak degradingly, slander See 1 Peter 2:12, 3:16 – We need to guard what we say!

James 4:11 James 5:9 – grumbling against one another Colossians 3:9 – do not lie to one another (cf. Eph. 4:25) Let us be truthful and honorable in our speech!

10 Do Not Judge One Another
Romans 14:13 Consider last week - receive one another When we care, we are not going to be looking for faults and to criticize! We give the benefit of the doubt! (1 Corinthians 13:5-7) Let us resolve NOT to put a stumbling block or cause to fall in their way!

11 Imagine the church, if we all sought to perfect godly qualities toward one another! How much good could we do? John 13:34-35

12 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:3-4
