6. Directions
1. At each town, ROLL THE DIE once. Write down your number on your journal and DRAW THAT MANY BEANS.
2. If you get all WHITE, you are healthy. Write in your journal and move to the next town. If you get LIGHT BROWN SPECKLED BEAN, you have cholera write down your symptoms, get a skull, and move to 3 more towns. If you get DARK BROWN BEAN, you have the plague, write down your symptoms and move to 3 more towns, recording your symptoms each day.
3. Once you get sick, you do NOT have to draw any more beans. You cannot be cured by drawing white beans. Simply move to the next 3 towns and record your symptoms in journal.
4. You die 3 towns after you contract an illness. Leave your skull at that town.
5. DEAD OR FINISHED? Make sure your journal and map are complete. Put a red dot where you got the plague or a green dot where you got cholera.

Once you have completed your journey (or DIED!!!) sit in the front of the room.
Return to your seat.
Connect the dots on the map to trace the route through your cities. (Use blue for the whole route and trace in purple to where you died.)
If you got the plague, circle that town in red. Put a black “X” in the town you died. If you got cholera, circle that town in green. Put a black “X” in the town you died.
Be sure all of your journal entries are complete.
