14 Why was the policy of Salutary Neglect important?
Not enforcing the rules, but this was seen a good thing. Salad = good for you. Salutary neglect (Britain not strictly enforcing its laws) was seen as being good for both Britain and the colonies. Britain didn’t have to worry about policing the colonies as much. The colonists were able to break certain laws without worrying about getting punished.
