4 Big Ideas… Why did countries such as Britain and France try to colonize other places of the world? Discuss some of the explorers we mentioned. Describe Aboriginal life and the some of the groups we examined. What was the importance of the fur trade? How did things change when the British take over New France in 1763? What did a seigneury look like? Details?? Can you draw it and label it? Are there any benefits to the relationship developed between New France and the Aboriginals? Be detailed and specific. Why do we study History?? What did the government of New France look like? Who held the positions of power?? Why?
