As the Superstar Dictator of the Free Nation of Sullivandia I’m commissioning you to help me create the rules for our newly formed society.

Upon entering the Free Nation of Sullivandia each new citizen will take a test to determine the leadership style that best fits him or her.
Leadership is important to all societies and dividing people based on their leadership personality will make it easier to create jobs and make the society more efficient.

Now divide into your Leadership Groups. As a group you will create the following:
A set of Rules for your Leadership Group for the society. Think about food, dress, jobs, housing, crime and punishment. Remember, you can make rules for how you interact with other groups too.
A Flag or Symbol for your Group. Be ready to explain what it means.
A Motto for your Group. (“Winter is Coming” or “E Pluribus Unum.”)
Each Leadership Group will be given materials best suited for their particular Leadership style.

A society cannot be based on Leadership alone.
We are stronger as ONE than as four different groups.
Let’s begin again, this time as the United Nation of Sullivandia.

Divide into new groups. You can be in a group of 2 or a group of 4.
If in a group of 2 pair with someone who has a different leadership style than you.
If in a group of 4 you must have someone from each leadership style in your group.

Overview
Name of Society and why you chose to name it as such
Create a Flag or Symbol for the society and explain its meaning.
Create a Motto for your society.
Bonus points if you write a National Anthem and sing it in front of the class.

People
How do people live in the society? What jobs do they have? How do they earn a living?
What is housing like?
What kind of currency or money do you have?
What are relationships and family life like? Are people free to marry whoever they want or are they assigned spouses like in The Giver?

Government
What kind of government rules over your society? Are you the leader or just a citizen?
Write a minimum of 7 laws/rules to govern your society
Think about trade, the environment, terrorism, and other problems facing our nation today. How will you deal with these issues?

Each section of the project (Overview, People, Government) will be worth 10 points. You must address each bullet point completely to get full points. Make sure your information is sound and logical.
Your presentation will be worth 20 points. 10 points for quality of presentation. Your PowerPoint must be clear and concise with all information easy to read. And 10 points for voice and presentation skills. Each group member MUST contribute and speak during the presentation. Work together. We are now the United Nation of Sullivandia.
