2 What are the organ systems in your body?
Organ systems work together to carry out life activities. We will study four organ systems: the digestive, respiratory, circulatory, and excretory systems.

3 What do organ systems do?
Digestive – breaks down food into nutrients Respiratory – brings oxygen into the lungs

4 What do organ systems do?
Circulatory – carries oxygen from lungs to cells in the body Excretory – removes wastes from the body

5 How are body materials transported?
These organ systems are called transport systems, because they transport (move) things throughout the body.

6 How are body materials transported?
Digestive System – Transports food & nutrients Respiratory System – Transports oxygen Circulatory System – Transports nutrients, oxygen, and wastes

7 How are body materials transported?
Excretory System – Transports wastes such as carbon dioxide and sweat
