Lydia, George’s wife and Peter’s mother, identifies something is “wrong” with the nursery. George investigates and finds it to be focused on an African veldt. He notices the hot sun and the lingering sense of death. Peter and Wendy are late home (role reversal and themes expressed) and wallet* George asks Peter and Wendy to not be so fixated on Africa: “death thoughts.” Wendy changes it and George…? Issues orders! How do the kids react? David McClean arrives and discusses the Nursery. Cue moral message. Lydia scarf* The ending; dramatic and deadly. Personification of house and exploration of the main themes.
