2 Sphere – the set of all points in space that are equidistant from a single point called the center.
The radius is any segment that has endpoints as the center of the sphere and a point on the sphere. Diameters are any segment with both endpoints on the sphere and also passes through the center of the sphere.

4 A baseball is a good visualization for realizing the formula for the surface area of a sphere. The baseball’s cover can be cut off and laid out as it is below, the parts of the cover approximate circles. It can be seen then that the surface area for this baseball would be the sum of all 4 circles.
