2 His First Voyages In 1607 Hudson was hired by the Muscovy Company in order to find a way to get from Europe to Asia by the waters. After two attempts, he couldn’t find one. But he did end up discovering Jan Mayen Island in 1607 and Novaya Zemlya in 1608.

3 His Discovery Of What Is Now Known As Hudson Bay
In 1609 Hudson was then hired by the Dutch East India Company. His goal was to find a Northwest Passage down south. With his ship the Half Moon they sailed down to Nova Scotia then down south where he found the Hudson Bay.

4 Henry Hudson’s End In Hudson made a trip through the Hudson strait and into Hudson Bay. Near the end the crew mutinied against him. He died in 1611 after the crew set Hudson, his son, and 7 people of his crew adrift in a small boat in Hudson Bay.
