1 Exercise Fitness Trivia: How to be physically fit

2 Purpose/ Target ages and best use of this game
To teach young kids from the age of 11 to the age of 16 about being physically and mentally healthy. What food has the most nutrients. How often children should be active. Easy things you can do to help reduce stress. What can happen to the body when it is not active and eating right.

3 Rules Play this game with no more than four groups with no more than five persons per group. Each question is worth 1 point, so when team answers correctly they will receive a point Once the question appear on the screen, each team will write down the answer that they think it is correct and when 30 seconds it up they will hold their answers up in the air for the presenter to see. The teams that answered correctly receive a point and the teams that don’t answer correctly lose a point. (yes you can go into negatives with this game) After the 10 questions are over, the teams will add up their points they received and determine a winning team or teams. If a question is answered correctly than you click to go to the next question. If a question is answered incorrectly than you click to go back to the question.

6 A. Static Stretching Oh so very sorry but you are wrong!!!!
Static stretching involves standing or sitting in one place and pulling on muscles, this can be good but only after a warm-up but not before.

7 B. Dynamic Stretching CORRECTTTTT!!!!!
This type of stretching is good because it warms and stretches the muscles at the same time that allows your muscles to be as explosive as possible.

Fried foods are probably the worst kind of food for you. They are full of saturated fats which does not digest properly in your body and causes you to gain unhealthy weight.

Vegetables are the healthiest raw, and provide the body with very essential nutrients that help the body to digest and function correctly

14 D. Fruits WRONGGG!!!! Though fruits are a healthy choice for a snack, they are more of an every now and then food because of the natural sugars and acids that they contain.

15 3. How many minutes a week should children be involved in physical activity?

16 A. 420 CORRECTT!!!!!! As a child you should be playing or doing some kind of physical activity for at least 60 minutes a day 7 days a week. So when you multiply 60 X 7 it comes out to 420.

17 B. 0 WRONGGGGG!!!!! If you do 0 minutes of physical activity that is just a recipe for disaster. Your body will not be getting the necessary exercise it needs and can cause serious health issues such as becoming obese which can lead to diabetes, heart diseases, and in serious cases even DEATH.

18 C. 60 WRONGGG!!!!! Only having 60 minutes of physical activity is not enough for the body to burn the amount of calories that is going into the body and could lead to being over weight.

You have a higher chance of becoming obese which leads to more serious health issue that can result in death.

21 A. Yoga CORRECCTTTTT!! Yoga is beneficial physically, mentally and spiritually. Doing yoga helps to reduce stress with the breathing exercises and holding poses helps to strengthen every part of your body.

22 B. Watching TV WRONGGG!!!! Though watching tv can seem to be relaxing it is not the healthiest way to reduce stress. When you watch TV in the dark it can hurt your eyes down the road due to the brightness of the TV with the dark surroundings.

Eating fast food is not healthy for the body in any way. Instead of relaxing the body it will just agrevate your digestive track.

29 A. True CORRECTTTTT!!! Stretching and flexibility exercises are very good for the body especially when it is sore from a previous workout.

Even though you might feel that you deserve a milkshake after a workout, it counteracts the workout that you just did

Cool downs are very important after workouts because they allow the body to be able to rejuvenate quicker and helps to reduce the galactic acid build up that occurs after working out.
