2. What is a simile?
Saying one thing is like another, to create a picture in a reader’s mind.
Using Like or As

3. Complete the following similes
The air smells as fresh as
Smoke floated on the air like
The rose petals are as delicate as
The girl sings as sweetly as
The traffic moved as slowly as
The crows cackled like
The children scuttled across the beach like
The boy is as fit as
His stomach rumbled like
