6. Interphase DNA is duplicated
The part of the cell cycle that is not dividing. The cell grows about twice the size it was when it was first produced. The cell engages in normal life.

Chromatin in the nucleus condenses and becomes chromosomes; The membrane around the nucleus breaks down

The chromatids separate and are pulled to opposite side of the cell; Each cell ends up with a complete set of chromosomes
