Leaders create life: They seize their opportunities They see themselves as in control They see their life full of choices of what they can be They give life to others They seek God’s dream for themselves, regardless how large--then they step out They cause others around them to stretch

Leaders give meaning to ministry (e.g. setup) They remind people why the church exists They keep the vision in focus They clarify values or “how” we do ministry Leaders give significance to others Leaders are needed to create opportunities Leaders are needed to handle problems

Leaders never retire, they just change their venue This church will grow as large as it’s leaders Without Leaders, this church will not reach it’s destiny Leaders are built through intentional effort, one step at a time

13 VNP-Very Nice People Avoid the work
Not willing to go out of comfort zone Comfort is their lid Give small amount to ministry Fill up space until crises Keep relationship open until crises opens their life

14 VHP-Very Hurting People
They have needs They bring a lot of baggage They have are willing to work on issues They respond to wholeness Counseling is needed to bring order and healing

They are the work They will suck leadership dry They use excuses for lack of progress They never honor boundaries Viet Cong Test to see if they will get help 1 Timothy 3.10
