Scientists have the opportunity to collect data in a controlled environment and perform experiments
Unlike in fieldwork, in a lab scientists can control things such as temperature, lighting, and the surrounding air

Take out the item you brought from home
Using the 4 items at your table (yours & the others’ at your table) record empirical evidence about each item in your data table
