Every Day You Play You change your feelings/emotions every day but you saw beyond my flaws and still continued to love me no matter what.

Line3:You are more than this white head that I hold tightly as a cluster of fruit, every day, between my hands. Line1:You’re so powerful to the point that you are my universe. Line2:You come and go and is apart of everything. Line 3:You are more than a physical being that I hold tightly and cherish .

Suddenly the wind howls and bangs at my shut window. The sky is a net crammed with shadow fish. Here all the winds let go sooner or later, all of them. The rain takes off her clothes. As the storm approaches (storm equal fight or the hardships between speaker and his lover)The storm is so powerful that the rain beat hard on her clothing .

Stanza 4 Original Lines Paraphrasing The birds go by, fleeing. The wind. The wind. I can contend only against the power of men. The storm whirls dark leaves And turns loose all the boats that were moored last night to the sky. Even the winds can’t fight the power of the wind. I am only able to fight against the power of men. The storm is as strong a mam, who damages everything around them.

While the sad wind goes slaughtering butterflies I love you, and my happiness bites the plum of your youth. While the storm is destroying/killing everything around us, my love for you only continues to grow and my happiness bites your lips (kiss).

Terms to know Subtle: (of a mixture or effect) delicately complex and understated Yellow Garlands: a wreath of festoon, especially one of plaited flowers or leaves, worn on the body or draped as a decoration. -symbolizes the eternity of God, immorality of the soul, and the everlasting life found in Christ. Honeysuckle: arching shrubs or twining bines in the family of Caprifoliaceae, native to the Northern Hemisphere. -symbolizes love that clings without harming anyone, generous love, passion, and foretells a wedding within one year. Accustomed: customary or usual Bluebells: a widely cultivated European woodland plant of the lily family that produces clusters of bell-shaped blue flowers in spring -symbolizes humility, gratitude, and everlasting love.

Lines 2-3 Explanation Subtle visitor, you arrive in the flower and the water You are more than this white head that I hold tightly as a cluster of fruit, every day, between my hands. Extended metaphor: compares his lover to the universe to show that she can appear in any shape or form, which is what makes her so unique in his eyes. Symbolism: the flower represents a symbol of their love and their happiness when they are around each other. Imagery: picture the reader holding a white head flower in his head to compare the lover and show that she is more than just a flower

Line 5 Explanation Let me spread you out among yellow garlands. Imagery: the reader can picture the narrator laying his lover among flowers which shows how happy he is when his with her (a gallant seduction)

Lines 8-11 Explanation Suddenly the wind howls and bangs at my shut window. The sky is set crammed with shadowy fish. Here all the winds let go sooner or later, all of them. The rain takes off her clothes. Personification: giving the wind human characteristics by saying that it howls and bangs at his door compare to what a mad man or woman would do. Personification: the rain doesn’t literally take her clothes off, she wets everything around her and that the narrator is able to see through her as if she was naked.

Symbolism: the wind symbolizes trouble in their relationship

Every day you play with the light of the universe Her love is a light to be reckoning with. Hyperbole: exaggerates how she is able to play with the light of the universe ,when he's just trying to show us how powerful she is.

Even so, at one time a strange shadow ran through your eyes. Darkness = the thought of her leaving him. Personification: stating that a shadow runs through her eyes, when in reality shadows don’t actually have legs to run.
